Identity design for a salon as dedicated to the French connotation of the word as it is to killer hair—a place dedicated to art and thought.

When Salon-founder Rubi Jones asked me to design the brand for her new concept, she needed an identity that would comprise all facets she envisioned—gallery, library, activist gathering place, beauty temple. Rubi’s heart and genius is what makes Salon, so the solution for the logo was to steal this scribble from her handwritten notes.
