| Lighting, Layers, and Reflections

Researching something completely different, I stumbled onto this installation by Autumn de Wilde titled Lighting, Layers and Reflections, and fifteen open-jawed, racing-pulsed, tingly-skinned minutes later I am still speechless (and homesick for my wild west deserts.) “I designed the sculptures so that they would interact and transform with the landscape as the sun rose, passed over us and set.”—Autumn de Wilde

P.S. Evidently this project was commissioned for an Escalade ad campaign, but that doesn’t even slightly diminish my new obsession to hunt them down and bask in their jewel-y light. Thank you for the discovery The Jealous Curator.

That is a stunning design that perfectly showcases the desert. Can you imagine how gorgeous it would be with a luscious summer sunset. So exquisite.
